Big Trouble for Pacquiao in De La Hoya vs Arum Contract
http://www.doghouseboxing.com/chee/chee_1121a06.htm
As the battle between Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum for the promotional rights to Manny Pacquiao's next fight heat up, a Lawyer Rudy Salud, founding secretary general of the World Boxing Council, said he fears that Pacquiao, could be in big trouble if he decides to go ahead and fight for Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and turns his back on a contract he signed beforehand with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
Quoted in, Salud said in regards to fighting under Arum insdtead of De La Hoya: “It would be an outright breach of
contract.” Salud added that if the reported 4 year deal with Arum was signed after the Nov. 18 fight with Erik Morales, then Arum was guilty of “outright tampering and tortuous interference.”
Arum plans a fight for Pacquiao at the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Macau in March next year. It is felt that there is no injunction that could be enforced there to stop Pacquiao from fighting. Salud disagreed. “The law can reach out that far if Golden Boy can prove his contract. He can enforce it anywhere in the world through a complicated legal procedure.”Adding the fight would be delayed, Salud said: “will be delayed and he loses time, which is gold, if he is not able to fight.”
Salud warned that if Pacquiao does fight under Arum, that Pacquiao would: “get soaked in the US for everything he has.”

Re: Big Trouble for Pacquiao in De La Hoya vs Arum Contract
LMAO!!!!!
When it was announced that Pac had signed with GoldenBoy, Arum accused GoldenBoy of "outright tampering and tortuous interference".
Now some outsider is accusing Arum of it. Too funny.
Just another thing to mention. The guy that is quoted here is Ronnie Nathanielsz. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasnt this guy kicked out of Pacs camp during the Murad Muhammed fiasco.

Arum disses Oscar De La Hoya and says Pacquiao never graduated Grade Schoo
A legal fight for the right to promote boxing's hottest rising star, Manny Pacquiao is certainly heating up. This past Saturday night after Pacquiao's destruction of Erik Morales, Top Rank's Bob Arum announced he had signed a four-year contract to promote Pacquiao.
The deal may come with some problems however, as two months ago on September 18, De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions announced they had signed Pacquiao to a seven-fight deal.
In Kevin Iole's recent article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Arum blasts De La Hoya and his CEO, Richard Schaefer for what describes as being high-pressure tactics in coercing Pacquiao into signing. Arum even cited Pacquiao's lack of education.
Iole quotes Arum as saying: "He (Pacquiao) flew 15 hours to get to the United States and (Schaefer and De La Hoya) grabbed him, took him to a restaurant and throw a contract in front of him," Arum then added: "He said, 'I want to discuss it with my lawyer.' They knew he had a meeting the next day with Top Rank, the kid kept saying he wanted to talk to his lawyer and Oscar kept throwing it in front of him, throwing it in front of him, throwing it in front of him.
Arum spoke on Pacquiao's lack of education, citing it's not right what they did, and then called them creeps for doing so. "The kid never even graduated from grade school, damn it. He signed the contract and took the money. That's not right. It's not right. They can be all high and mighty and say they do everything for the benefit of boxing, but they are creeps. Trust me, they are creeps." said Arum.

To be honest,I have no idea what is going on....Pac was with Top Rank, reportedly signed with Golden Boy,Arum refutes this at the press conference after the fight, unveisl Pacman as a Top Rank fighter to which I did not hear any objections from Pac's camp but I hear all of this from the WBC and from Golden Boy Promotions....? So who's right? I have no idea,I just want to see Pac fight!
