*News Flash* Edwin Valero opponent named..... Fight will be on 1/03/07
I was going through several ranking systems and cam across Edwin Valeros name and I saw he was listed to fight Jan. 03, 2007 and the also had a name so I checked in 2 more sources and sure enough all 3 sources have the fight down....

Hes gonna fight Michael Lozada 22-3-1 (15 Ko's) IMO this should be yet! another 1st round KO victory for Edwin and to be honest I think the quality of opposition hes fighting is right for him, his just hit the 20 fight mark and is moving along just fine hes not ready for PAC, MAB, JMM (if he moves up) or Guzman... But theres other names out there for him...
Soto, Nantachai, Arthur or even Rocky Juarez....

I've seen his Lozada fighting Joes Santa Cruz, he's a good fighter, and he was game, but Santa Cruz isn't the hugest of punchers, and he was hurting him easy. I'm with CutMeMick, 1st/2nd round KO for Valero baby.

Get this guy a great trainer and he will be a serious threat to anybody at 130lbs!!! As it is he is already a threat. GO VALERO!

CC in 24 for the news.....V-Nom will win,but Im more interested in seeing if his technique has improved.Has the moving of his camp to Japan had an effect?

Waaaayyyy tooo soon to make that kind of statement, hes just breaking the shell like a baby chick.
I think by mid-way 2007 we will have a better idea of the answer to your question.
If have to give an answer I will say no, because I don't think he will have fighters around with the caliber of MAB, ERIK & JMM to fight hence not having BIG name wins on his resume.....
Thats the best answer I could think of...
