It is now being said that the WBO is demanding Brewster to fight either James Toney or Lance Whitaker. I'd love to see Toney-Brewster because I think J.T. wins that one. My question is, what has "Goofi" done lately ? I'd have to say that Vander is more qualified for a title shot then Whitaker. I'd like to see a guy that's EARNED it be rewarded with a crack. At least a shot at the WBO version. How about a guy like Monte Barrett ?
Monte Barrett may have beaten Guinn last time out but he has also lost to Mesi (yes it was close, but he lost and got decked - hard). In addition he got KO'd by Wlad Klit (yes, the vaseline boy) and also lost a decision to a certain Lance 'Goofi' Whitaker in 1999. Yes, the Whitaker who has only lost one fight - to Big Time McCline - in the last 66 months spread over 13 fights.
In that same period Mike Tyson has fought 8, won 4, 2 ND and 2 KO losses and yet people still talk about him ruling the division.
While I ain't saying that Goofi deserves a shot of any kind, he is just as deserving as many other heavyweights out there...

He's back to Mt Whitaker and he means business.
New promotor, new trainer. He finally got the real deal behind him and he's learning to fight like a champ. He will make Krasniqi look like a chump in Germany and be back here to take over the WBO. This will be the man to bring boxing back to where it should be!
I really wish him a title shot because I think (if I'm correct) that he fights for the hospital bills of his kid....
Why doesn't deserve that shot ?

Goofi loves the kids.
I know that the heavyweight division is in bad shape, but come on Goofi is not even on the chart. He needs to stop boxing before he is goofy, if indeed that has not already happened.
