I'm calling it now--Quintana beats Cotto!!! Margarito Wins!!!
Here's why Quintana wins:
1. Cotto always wanted to fight bigger, but he is fighting a guy that is bigger than him.
2. Cotto had all types of boxing trouble against 'power-free' Malignaggi.
3. Cotto has been rocked several times by less than elite JuWelts. Tonight, he will feel a real Welt in Quintana
4. Quintana is also an undefeated Boriqua, or Puerto Rican.
5. Quintana gave a boxing lesson to his last undefeated contender, Joel Julio.
6. The difference in weight does not favor Cotto's power.
Let's hear it before the fight starts!!!

Margarito won the first fight because Clottey hurt his right hand. I am the first to admit that the man was losing every round before the injury...
With that said, Clottey did not have enough sense to fight with his right hand once his left got hurt. He kept trying to throw the left, and even tried to quit after the end of the sixth and the eighth. Luckily, his corner sent him out to handle his biz. After that, he fought very discouraged, which allowed Margarito to get up to his 100+ punches per round.
118-110
116-112
116-112
Margarito by Unanimous Decision
Not impressed with Margarito. He needs more fights and better sparring.

All valid points ArawakWarria I already touched on all the pros and cons here so, no need for me to repeat myself.

I am a big Margarito fan but he didn't look like the Margarito i've seen. Maybe it was opposition :(

IMO, Cottos power seems to have increased and carried along to 147 perfectly... This means a lot and hes starting to box more loving the waist movement he had and changing from ortho. to southpaw was insane thats good he has something like that in his arsenal...

Danny G,
Like you, I thought Quintana had the goods. But I can't for the life of me understand why he kept bending down into Cotto's range... it was like no one told him he was the bigger fighter. He did that beautifully against Julio.
With that said, all respect to Cotto.

He did the same thing with Julio but Julio only threw 1-2's and never threw a body shot.
