pacs defense underated!

pacs defense is underrated...either that or he really has one outstanding chin now...

pac is clearly improving everything in his game...his still always written off though specially because he lost via k.o early in his career...but only a few people really saw that fight but everyone is quick to pretend they have and use that against pac even today when even a blind men can tell you pac has improve since then...

pac has prove he can fight of the ropes against larios valezquez and em...but that's never talked about...larios caught pac with pacs guard down...but pac shook that off and stayed in the ropes and ended up cutting larios with punches...his comfortable fighting of the ropes he knows he can afford to get hit because he`ll hit you back...jabs don't even bother pac anymore he can block it and counters don't even slow him down now because he himself can counter now too...

the only real time pac gets hit now is when he brawls but again he can afford those flaws unlike pbf...pac doesn't need to put up a defensive performance because he`ll take your punch and eat your heart...

pacs always improving and always written of easily by flaws he clearly can afford and flaws nearing extinction...

in the larios fight he showed he can box and in the valezquez fight he showed he can counter...remember that manila ice was a counter right hook sent V. looking drunk...also em fell right into that counter hook by pac...

I think pacs defense and countering is underrated because he shows he can defend and counter but his such a storm he rather just take your punch and eat your heart...I think if he wanted to he can put up a defensive performance and counter all day but he loves to brawl and pleasssss the fans....

He is underrated when someone says he has no defense at all. I think he has a great defense when he isnt in attack mode and he has a great chin too. The only problem with pac is when he starts to throw flurries, he leaves himself wide open and off-balance and this gives the boxing purists a reason to criticize him. I remembered how many times Emmanuel steward mentioned how bad manny's positioning is and I dont know if he just loves morales too much or he is just insulting freddie roach's coaching abilities. I also remember when he said that if he was manny's trainer... He will make him a counterpuncher'. That says it all i think. He is the biggest critic of manny and the HBO subscribers were really influenced by him i think

steward is an ass whenever freddie's fighter is running the show
and for pacs defense being underrated
well he really is underrated whenever critics (not haters) says he has no defense at all
look.. the most awful performance he had is against jmm who is the master of everything
but his defense has improved a lot when he fought morales the final time
and i just dont get it when they diss on him when hes off balance most at the time
its true he is... but they appreicate pac for being aggressive and relentless
yet they scrutinizes him for a flaw common to all boxers
who moves forward when they punch
what they want is too see his feet in proper position and in perfect stance
for every punch.. but... how do they expect a guy who throws like 6 punches in
a couple of seconds to have the conventinal rhythm of both feet and hands?
if pac does that he'll be out of the arena when he takes a step for every punch
so its just pac.. and i dont think this could be changed unless he alters his style and controls himself from movin forward while punchin

I agree with this 100%. I don't think though he has the same level of defense as Mayweather, Wright or even a especially strong defense.. he hasn't foughten a great a boxer in awhile.

alot of fighters have defensive skills they just choose not to use them.

IMO being a good defensemen is about not getting hit and one level, and being able to counter while on defense and throw punches without leaving holes in your defense that makes a great defensive fighter.

For all the criticisms in his defense, I think Pacquaio is doing good by projecting that his defense is bad. Fighters like Morales, Larios, JMM and Barrera take this seeming flaw in Pacquaio's defense and then there goes the knock down punch from Pacquaio. It's a trick people have not realized yet.
