But you left out the fact that Duran beat him the first time. No one had ever beat Ray that way eccept Thomas Hearns. Duran became frustrated when Ray did not want to go toe to toe with him. He did not dominate Duran the way Duran dominated him in their first fight. The fight was boring and I don't blame Duran for saying screw you running man. Cotto would not give up chasing PBF nor cutting off the ring. This is not some old azz Baldomir we are talking about. Just because Old azz Baldomir could not catch him does not mean Cotto can't. Cotto is getting a lot better at cutting off the ring. Corrales could not cut PBF off and that is why he failed. I will have to say that Baldomir did a better job at it than Corrales did.
I honestly don't see PBF stepping in the ring with Cotto. He would not even step in the ring with Margarito. lol ;D

Agreed! I don't understand why people compare Cotto to others Floyd has fought...it doesn't make sense. None of Floyd's opponents had hit as hard as Cotto. People also have to consider that Cotto's off season/walk around weight is around 170lb...you can tell that when he comes into the ring he's around 15lbs heavier from the weigh in. I honestly think Cotto is the REAL DEAL and if/when he gets through with Margarito...Mayweather will have no choice but to fight him. On a side note, I'm quite happy that Cotto is finally getting the respect he deserves and people are starting to mention his name in the same breath as PBF...8)

PBF wasn't afraid of him, he just knew it wasn't worth his time, and that he would get no respect just like when he beat Baldomir only he made the same amount of money as he would have against Margarito, but he is became the unified welterweight champion.

Cotto-floyd will not happen. Floyd will retire after Oscar and if he doesn't he would rather fight someone with a lower risk/benefits ratio. By the way cotto said in this article that he will beat him (not KO him).

I doubt we'll ever see Cotto-Margarito cuz I don't think Margarito can beat Williams. But if it would happen, I'll take Cotto by 3rd round knock out over Margarito and 7th round knock out over Williams. I still think Mayweather beats Cotto. But the gap betwwen them has closed some.
