WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (46-0, 33 KOs) will face Jameel McCline (38-9, 23 KOs) on January 20 at the St. Jakob-Halle in Basel, Switzerland.

Honestly, I'm a bit impressed with the fact that he's stepping up his opposition even though McCline aint all that...honestly...I think that he's like a smoken kernel of corn stuck in a smokey log that's parked in the bottof a urenal.
Mabye the size of McCline & the fact that he can jab & also throw combinations may bake a difference...we shall see...

The fight is in continental Europe so Valuev will get the decision. McCline may win the fight though. But they're both bums.

Wacko, stepping up the competition? ;D ::** Barret was/is better than McCline. All McCline has is size, other than that he's nervous, tentative, slow, and easily discouraged. He's a big sissy mostly. I kinda hope he beats Valuev, but I think Valuev should most likely stop him. Let the best giant and/or big sissy win I say.

McCline does indeed have the size FINALLY to cause issues to Valuev...but I don't think that it'll be enough.

I liked McClines' "get back" after the Wlad defeat. I thought he was honestly trying to become a legitimate champion.

Well, whatever everyone else says I always look forward to seeing Valuev, because of the sheer size of him, and, whatever anyone else says, and how it reflects on the current state of the division and the champion he beat, he holds one of the belts, and will, eventually be forced to fight decent opposition in his mandatory, and that is when we will see him really tested.

I would like to see him get to 48-0 and face Klit and try and make himself worthy for a record like rockys. A step up i agree but not much he will stop mccline and we all know he will.

Its too early too give Valuev too much credit and it's also too early to take all of the credit away from him.
As you said, he will face a real test soon enough.
