TAYLOR: I CAN TAKE THE PRESSURE
Jermain Taylor is ready to come under pressure when he defends his WBC middleweight title against Kassim Ouma on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.
The American held on to the belt courtesy of a draw against Winky Wright in his last fight back in June.
A re-match with his compatriot could be on the cards providing Taylor can dispose of Ouma, who is stepping up in weight for the biggest fight of his career.
The Ugandan has lost just twice in 25 fights and his come-forward style means the champion cannot afford to take a win for granted.....

Re: TAYLOR: I CAN TAKE THE PRESSURE
Despite Kassim Ouma moving up, I still see this as a tough fight. These African fighters are as tough as nails and Kassim should be no exception. Taylor thinks this is just a tune up fight and I have watched a lot of tune up fights go South. I want an upset here.
Taylor said he looked terrible against Winky Wright. No shit Sherlock. Who looks spectacular fighting the master of D?
Re: TAYLOR: I CAN TAKE THE PRESSURE
I can understand JT not looking good in his fights against B Hop and WInky,no one looks good against those two tactical wizards BUT this Ouma fight is one for him to look good. Ouma is tough but I mean, look at thei pics when they are standing side to side,Taylor looks MONSTROUSLY bigger! JT is one of the bigger fighters at the weight,Ouma was a small 154 pounder,I don't think Ouma will be able to hurt JT and I want to see JT put his foot on th gas and show why he is P4p and show what he has learnt being with Manny. This is a look good fight imo.
Re: TAYLOR: I CAN TAKE THE PRESSURE
I really don't think this fight is fair.
They are naturally about 2 division apart at least.
Yeah this is a good fight for Jermain, but when Ouma gets the smack beat out of him, is that even a good fight at all? heheh
Jermain only looked good in Hopkins 2 fight, I thought and THAT was a close fight.
It's like they HAVE to feed this kid a very small dude to at least make him look good once against an opponent who's talented and in or near his prime.
HBO really wants Jermain to be the Jermain they hoped for. heh
Okay, let me be harsh for one moment, to put things in perspective.
Jermain depends on his athleticism. Not skills. He tires down the stretch. And he doesn't try to cap in the last round EVER. He hasn't ever fought like a champion in his LIFE. And he's had three chances.
The ONLY thing promising about Taylor is his trainer, Steward.
Don't just sad click me, listen to me. 8)

Regardless of whether you believe he won his fights or not, he gave a hell of a fight to both Hopkins and Wright. Some of the greatest fighters in the world couldn't do that. Saying the only thing he has is his trainer just isn't true.
On top of that, he's a really young fighter and will grow.

Well put, I think JT will be able to frustrate and pick apart Ouma for 12 rounds.
