Simms returns to take on Rivera
Travis Simms will return to the ring after a two-year lay-off to challenge Jose Antonio Rivera for the WBA super welterweight crown on 6 January.
The all-US bout is on the undercard of the heavyweight fight between Nigerian Samuel Peter and America's James Toney.
Simms took the WBA title from Mexico's Alejandro Garcia in 2003, defended it once but was stripped of the crown in 2005 for failing to fight Garcia again.....

Re: Simms returns to take on Rivera
If 'El Gallo' can continue fighting at the level which he fought 'Terra' he should be able to beat Simms, I'm gonna side with the fact that Simms has been inactive for about 26 months.... Thats a lot of freakin' time.... and that Rivera is on the way up...
Re: Simms returns to take on Rivera
Only seen 2 Rivera fights,1 against Collazo which was a WAR and another war with Terra Garcia. He looked really good against Garcia, and if he bests Simms,I want to him fight Roman Karmazin, that would be a war!!!!
