Broken knuckles, maybe.....
So for those who read my "Why fitness gloves are no good for heavy bag work", this is a bit of a carry on.
From that hard session on the bag with no padding, my knuckles have not healed.
They ache when i touch them, seem to have grissle over the top of them yet something tells me they are not broken. They are not swollen at all, nor misshaped, just hurt after a session on the bags or any sort of contact really.
I used to be able to come out of the gym with knuckles that couldnt feel anything, but lately they just ache.
Have i fractured them?
Whats a good way to get them to heal quicker, Cold, or heat?

First - take some time off , a week or so. Then be sure to wrap you hands correctly. around the wrist and thru each finger.. You might even want to take a pair of socks. wrap the soc around the knuckles before putting on the hand wraps. . a good tight wrap will protect the hand. now when I say tight... its should be comfortably tight when you make a fist. not so tight as your can't feel your hand. an incorrect wrap can cause damage.
think about upgrading your equipment also. hope this helps

I was afraid you were going to say that.
But yer helps a lot. My wraps are fine and yeah got new gloves now, just sick of coming out of the gym with soar knuckles even 3 weeks later. Thought theyd heal by now.

heat,cold then heat should help and more rest. :)

A good addition under your wraps is a sanitry towel, cut it in half loops round the thumb.
