How refreshing in the light of recent events (pick any Harrison!) to see a true proffesional work his way to his goal!
Jon Thaxton is finally an owner of the Lonsdale Belt and the new British Champ! After forteen years he's got there!
He fought so well against young upstart Lee Meager. Meager took a load of heavy shots so repect to Meager but he was out-thought and out-gunned! Thaxton used his switch hitting and it worked a treat.
A comfortable points win and even put Meager down in the 12th!

Here's to Jonathon Thaxton...a credit to boxing!

Ill second that nice kid too, I thought they were putting Meager in over his head with this matchup.

Yeah he did well, I expect he may get a fight with Amir Khan now in 2007.

Should be a good matchup although I think Khan will knock him out.

To quick, too strong and throws way more punches that Meager could muster.
