Sergio Mora "If I get knocked out, I'm quitting boxing"

So that means if Jermain knocked him out he'd never fight again right ???

Probably not because...that's just not how it works. But I'm not even sure Taylor could knock him out. What happened to Taylor's fire? He was so agressive as a young contender, obliterating a quality fighter in Daniel Edouard (I picked Edouard that fight and was disappointed for him afterwards) but then he has been reserved. At first I chalked it up to fighting someone like Hopkins who is so crafty and can make you pay if you're to agressive but now he is just timid. I've little doubt Taylor would win, but a KO might not be in the books.

My biggest worry for Taylor is atm that after the ouma fight he recons he punched him self totaly out after just 3 rounds, 3 rounds of lets be honest, doing sod all... got a feeling thats one of the main reasons hes talking about staying down and not going up to fight calzaghe.

u guys dont see a problem with this man a reality star gets the undisputed unified champ like that?

even manfredo being able to fight Joe C?

so u go on a reality show then like a year later u go for the title like that?

Well...I mean the better Manfredo does the better Mora looks. And outside of Miranda...who else is there? I mean Winky just isn't going to happen and noone else has the notoriety of Mora.

i dunno where mora was, but wasn't manfredo ranked at like No 3 b4 contender? i don't understand why taylor wants to fight him tho, it will do nothing for him surly? Ouma was meant to be his 'easy' fight, it was in lil rock, it was hard coz taylor made it hard, there are 3 guys at middle w8 who he should be fighting, or 2 at SMW... quite shocked at taylor for this tbh, coz up untill now i always thought he wanted the best - not getting on his back just yet, would like to see how this developes.

I remember reading a boxing monthly mag that was issued after the 1st Taylor fight with Hopkins. He was trying to explain what hapened in those last few rounds against B-Hop and aslo justify his negative attitude during the reading of the score cards....

He said something along the lines of "Im just not used to losing rounds in there... It was killing me".

I guess he was (maybe still is) pretty immature in that respect, maybe a bit Brunofied. He's still a young man so hopefully (for him) he can get past this demon of his.

sergio has beaten peter twice.. and peter is only a prospect or a lower world class fighter..
same for peter.. except he's fought some better fights this year...
and that peter is taking the fight with joe.. he doesnt get no credit yet! he hasnt fought yet.. and joe shouldnt even be taking the fight..
so less of the credit bs.. he can have my respect when he earns it... And grow some heart and nuts talkin on quitting boxing.. He'll never be no duran that way!!
