Look, I am sick of precursing everything I say about Joe with, "I think he is a great fighter but....." Lets take a look at the latest load of horse shit he fed the media...

WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe, boxing's current longest-reigning world champion (1997-present, 19 title defenses) says he would love to defend his title against middleweight champion Jermain Taylor. Well he is certainly saying alot of off the wall shit... Pride you gotta remember its Joe's team that is misguiding him and giving the worse possible advice for his career.. IMO I feel that Hattons team is doing the same to him.. :-\

guidance or not, joe is still his OWN PERSON. and HE knows HIS ability in the ring, and He knows Manfredo's ability in the ring. and HE can Veto anything they "suggest" i highly doubt he is walking through his career BLIND. The decision to fight a guy like manfredo who hasn't fought anyone in the top 5 let alone the champ, and is 3-5 in his last 8 fights is hardly a surprise to calzaghe.

First sorry for the repost... I haven't been on alot latly and missed this being posted already... Second, I agree about his team misguiding him.... But does he believe the verbal diarea that comes out of his mouth? I really like Joe but this articale was hilarious.... Jermain's not ready to fight at his level... jermaine isnt the one with the quote so jermaines plans are irrelevant to joe's comments...
Joe's comments basically says that Manfredo is more of challenge to him than taylor.
And again, he knows who he's fighten he aint stupid, whatever he's told, its his will to fight whomever he wants, hes the champ.

Forget about Taylor fighting Kessler....Calzaghe SHOULD be fighting Kessler...

Has Kessler really achieved less than Manfredo? He has already adjusted to SMW...
