Tito Ortiz: "I'll Teach Liddell To Respect Me"

According to Ortiz, they used to be good friends, and he was not mentally ready to fight him in the first meeting.

Now they are bitter rivals because Ortiz feels that Liddell stabbed him in the back. In the rematch he plans to punish his former friend.

"I expected him to be a friend of mine — he slept on my couch — not to sell out to UFC," Ortiz said. "I wasn't emotionally ready for that fight. You have to build up anger to fight a guy. Now that he's shown his true colors and took my title, I'll teach him to respect me."

All this animosity between the two is just a huge cash cow. Ortiz is the best at it.
