Chuck Liddell Vs Tito Ortiz against ODH vs PBF Pay Per View comparison.
A source (a friend) told me that Liddell Vs Ortiz will due at least 1 million PPV buy's. The analyst are guestimating ODH Vs PBF to be near the two million mark. Does this mean that in the next ten years the UFC's biggest fight will bypass boxing's biggest match or will boxing alway's have the edge. I like boxing better but everything being on HBO, Showtime, or PPV is a drag. I wish it could be more of a mainstream sport on major stations. The UFC continues to get more popular and these matches coming up are the best that each sport has to offer. Which fight will be more entertaining. I love boxing to much to say Liddell Vs Ortiz, but it probably will be more exciting. 1st round KO from Liddell, 12 round UD for Mayweather.

UFC does seem to be getting more popular. But as the average UFC bout lasts around a minute I'd say you would get your moneys worth more from boxing.

Yeah, I think that UFC does better with their average cards, but when it comes to megafights, boxing will do better.
UFC frustrates me sometimes because the main event might only last half a round due to someone getting knocked out. Boxing can be the same way, but big matchups usually go the distance and are somewhat action packed.

I think I will stick with boxing in the long run, I hope the major networks find a way to get it on there in the long run so this next generation can appreciate it like we do.

I enjoy watching the UFC. I'm looking forward to Lidell against Ortiz coming up.
It still makes me laugh to think of Lidell as a real athlete though, he just looks like a tough barroom brawler. But then I suppose if you look at most of boxing's current heavies you'd reach the same conclusion :-\
Re: Chuck Liddell Vs Tito Ortiz against ODH vs PBF Pay Per View comparison.
Yeah I think something that needs to be done is that the normal week to week fights need to be more watched like Solo Boxeo and Wednesday Night fights. Some of those are great and you don't have to have HBO or Showtime to watch them.

Boxing has been around thousands of years? ??? About 150
Actually UFC heritage goes back way further than boxing, the Greeks and Romans all used to wrestle.
Don't get me wrong I love boxing way more than UFC but as traditions go they both go back a long way. The UFC organisation has only been around a couple decades but mixed martial arts has a long history going back probably to the dawn of man.

I agree that MMA is probably much older. The original olympics had an event where the only rule was you couldn't gouge the oppenents eyes, so MMA as a competitive event is at least a few thousands years old. Here is a link to a possible start of boxing, its a short read.

well keep in mind Ortiz vs Lidell is a rematch. this fight already happened and i was pretty disapointed in it. it was not as competitive as they were making it out to be completely one sided.
also MTV is hyping up the rematch. that homo gideon yago or whatever the F his name was interviewed both and asked them both what they bump in their IPODS to train to. u dont see GIDEON interviewing PBF or even OSCAR asking whats in their IPODS shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
