sorry for such a simple question guys.im really new to boxing and am planning on finding a gym in my area this week.my problem is that my left is almost non existant.would i be better off practicing my left before i get into a gym.i feel really off beat with this problem.any good tips for building confidence in my left as i am right handed?thanks alot

See the thing is when you are standing correctly it will be come easier..
First off.. I guess your right handed? since your not good with your left..
If you are right handed this is how you should stand.. Left foot forward.. On the ball of your right foot.. And when moving you should step first with your left foot and move your right with it...
Hands at your chin .Practice maybe in front of a mirror just throwing strait shots..
It really is practice..People who can teach to box have theyr own little gimmicks and methods that are handy for you to remember and get used to it..But when it comes down to it..It'll be the practice that does you good.. I'll be back on this topic soon to post you a link to help you out..

Theres video's on this particular page that'll let you know how to and/or just give you the jist of punches and how to throw them..
Get practicing until you get to a gym.. And good luck in finding one and making a go of boxing
