Whats everyones favorite Movie that was first written as a book
What I mean by this since some books that get turned into movie never really do the book justice. What are some of your favs that have been pretty dead on as far as converting it from a book to a movie without leaving parts out. I'm curious to what everyones favorites are.

I started the thread and I didn't even name one of my favs. I would have to say Fight Club man the book was really good and they just as good of a job on the movie I thought.

American Psycho, the movie does NO justice to the book.

Both i think are two rare films that actually do justice to the books...Especially green mile!!!
I beleive they are both from the same makers?! lol :P

Have you read the book? if not I strongly recommend it, believe me the book is more graphic and it has a lot that the movie did not show.

Also..Though its not my scene..
But harry potter and lotr books are definately justified equally with the films
Sure they need no mention since many people know of them..lol

One series of books/games that movies did no justice to has to be resident evil...
Anyone who's a fan will know how amazing the plot line is... The film was an absolute disgrace..
Why name it resident evil if it was not going to portray any of the story which is immense...
All it did was use characters and reference to certain aspects of the plot and built its own new story around them...And it sucked big time...

am i the only one on this board who thought fight club sucked ass ?? im not dissing people for liking it its there own opinion but im just saying i thought movie was pointless and bit shite imo ;)
