If the ref would not have let Wlad hold against Peter and he would have gotten KTFO (which I happen to think would have been the case), would you have considered Peter the best heavy?
I happen to think that that was a blessing in disguise though cause Peter has improved by leaps and bounds and has realized that he can't knock everyone out. He has added many dimensions to his game and I honestly think that he would walk through Wlad cause his strength is Wlads weakness.
Hopefully when Peter does force the rematch he can get a fair fight this time around. We would have been cheated of a good champ IMO if Peter would have won then cause he would have lost his title rather quickly.

I think Wlad fought like a lil bitch with his holding and running the first fiight. And I think Peter has improved, with his patience, punching, and fighting distance. The sucker has learned how to try to steal rounds with pitty patt combos too. But he hasn't improved by leaps and bounds, more like steps and hops. In any case, with a fair ref in there, I'd favor him to KO Wlad. But he did underachieve and blow it in the first Wlad fight, which really pissed me off. Anyway I think he should be able to KO Oleg thats for sure, then bring on the big fairy. Merchant's wet dream.

The reason I say leaps and bounds is because he had like a 2 punch arsenal and now has a little defence, acouple of moves he learned from Toney and he proved he can adapt to fighting a guy with an extremely tough style to overcome.

i wonder if peter was warned about hitting behind the head repeatedly, would vlad ever of went down at all.
peter was turned into hamburger..eyes swollen, nose pourin blood....and dancing like judah after the left hooks from vlad.

I think he has as good a chance as any other Genuine Hard hitter at putting Wlad down.
These days, stopping him is debatable.
