Bloodsport: Plays Frank Dux who honors his Master and fights in a tournament. Good fights, you really feel the tense fight scenes between Frank Dux and the opponants. Bolo is good at being a bad man!

AWOL: Lovely fights, good character from Van Damme, you really feel sorry for Lyon (referred to as Lion in the film).

Kickboxer: love the fights in Muay Thai style and Tong Po gets beaten up.

I'd have to say TimeCop. I'm a sucker for time travel movies.

cyborg--totally overlooked--its his most hardcore movie--he gets frigin crucified in it

Lionheart - for me because I love how its just an underground street fighting circuit. Also I love the fight seen when there fighting in the pool.

I would have to bloodsport is my second just because that is a classic film man its the movie that put Jean Cluade on the map for me.

Totally agreed. In THAT order. Lionheart is his greatest movie. Its very good IMO.

I can understand that.  They don't stand the test of time for one thing.  If I watched Lionheart today for the first time I would doze off before the big ugly guy stroked his cat for the first time.

I have a friend who lives in Belgium and he tells me that Van Damme is quite famous for always saying the wrong thing in public and being a little off his nut. Going by his film choices there may be some credence to this.

Whats the worst film then? I say JCVD worst movie ever is....black eagle.

Got it on DVD, aweful nonesense.

BTW check out the post on Segal and aikido, a guy in there claims he has an

Van Damme's worst film is clearly "In Hell". It was depressing, boring garbage, and he didn't even fight very much in it till the end. Van Damme +Lawrence Taylor+crappy prison setting=Total Shat.
Van Damme's other prison movie from the early 90's, "Death Warrant" is much much better.
