Its official! A recent quote By the Big Man Nicolai Valuev has dashed any hopes of a match between the two super powers in the near future!
Certainly not before he has the 49-0 record well under his belt.
Here's the quote from Valuev reported at a Boxings "KO Corner" website

Undefeated WBA Heavyweight Champion Nikolai Valuev is determined to break Rocky Marciano’s ancient record of 49 straight wins. He gave his thoughts when asked about the possibility of going after the record at a news conference today promoting his fight with Jameel McCline this weekend…


Valuev said :
“I definitely want to break his record,” the undefeated WBA champion vowed at today´s press conference in Basle. “If there´s the chance to get your name in the history books with such a great record, it is of course my aim to accomplish it. But that does not mean I will fight weak opponents.”

So, sadly,.. there it is! If he's not going to fight weak opponents, so he wont be facing Wladimir "chinachin" Klitschko anytime soon.

Valuev isn't a super power. More like a subpar power. Super spectacle if he's lucky. He'll get close just like Dariusz did a while back and the fall off the map.

Klitschko doesn't have a weak chin...he's proven that.

Marciano may not either have fought in the greatest era admittely....but and old Walcott, Lewis, Charles and Moore are 10000000000 times better then anything that freak has fought and he fought everything on offer. He dont wanna fight Klit becuase Klit will smash the shit out of him. Its a disgrace if this fooking average at best boxer can think he is worthy of beating the records of one the legends of boxing.

if valuve beat the best around and broke the record fair play to him, but otherwise, its a joke.
