We all knew Vitali was coming back from so spare us the melodrama. Is L.L next?

It's good that Vitali is coming back but didn't we all know this was going to happen from the very beginning? Some of these melodramatic returns are bile-inducing. Hell, the only one who ever meant what he said was Lennox and for that I hold him in high respect. Next prediction will be that Vitali will be calling out Lennox...but that's because he needs the money. Lennox doesn't.

I must admit I never actually thought he would return.

With Wladimir now set to become the universally recognised champ I thought that there would be even less chance.

I'm actually really suprised he's coming back.

What will happen if they both hold title belts? Will they unify against each other? I hardly see that happening at all.

Personally I'd rather he just stayed retired. His coming back will only add to the confusion in the heavyweight division.

If Vitali comes back and beats Maskaev which less face it is a 99.9% certainty then we'll end up with both him and his brother going for half the titles each.

Thery sure as hell won't want to fight each other so the division would never be unified as long as they remained champs.

Let him retry and become Mayor of Uzbeckistan or whatever it was he failed to do last year. >:mad

I thought Dr iron fist would be coming back but Lennox Lewis will never follow him back into the ring cuz he is too smart and doesnt need the money . It would have happend by now so I hope Vitali has the decency to stop mentioning his name everytime he is infront of a camera .

Its good that Vitali is back cuz he can clean up this mess . Granted his 1st reign wasnt that impressive but he can put things right by beating Maskaev convincingly . Years back this fight wouldnt have been more than a warm up for Vitali so its no wonder he is jumping at the chance . Sam Peter is the real nightmare . He is the man to avoid . Both Klits need to keep their eye on him but everyone else doesnt really present too much of a challenge to either Klitschko .

CC. Good point. Plus, Lennox has seen what happens to him when he's not in top shape, and at this point, Lennox is so satisfied outside the ring, he probably doesn't have the burning desire to get back in top shape.

I don't think he ever really retired, it was just a way to increase his profile! He knew he would be out long term with the injury, so why not retire and pave the way for a lucrative comeback ;)

Vitali was the recognized champ & went out on injuries. If he comes back & cracks out the WBC guy...so be it. It's not a royal screwing over...plus...it's going to set up a much more compelling match in the future with the same points.

I didn't think Vitaly would come back.....I respect him because he knew he had injurys...He knew he would be going out for a long time if not for good.....Unlike many fighters who would have held the title up just for the sake of being champion Vitaly let it go....Giving someone else a chance who is still healthy and is fighting.....That was a classy move in my opp.....He is also a lot younger then Lennox...Lennox left when he knew the time was right for him....No matter what people want to say about him he left when the time was right...Why stick around to end up like many formerly top notch champions do....Hoping for the glory to remain???.....And he made sure he kept his money and not blow it....Vitaly is healthy now and is still young enoghh to resume what was a good career that was getting better.....Hey remember something...The Klitschkos are the select few fighters out there who fight purely for the love of boxing and glory it can bring.....They are college graduated board certified doctors they don't need boxing to make a good living

Im not all that surprised that Vitali is coming back, there was always the inclination what with him saying that he would return if it would be a fight with Lewis.

Lewis on the other hand is out of the game and I dont see him ever coming back. He has the money and sense to not waste his time.
