Showing Scores Between Rounds???
I am still building my opinion of whether or not official scores should be shown to the public and boxers between rounds. I think it may be positive since it may put some presure to the judges to make scorings more partials. This will also give the opportunity to the boxers to adjust their strategies as the fight progresses,...
Let me know your thoughts...

Hey PRP.... good to see you on here. And good subject to post on. Actually, I have some slightly different views on this topic.
Personally, I'm in favor of collecting the judges cards after every round, but not necessarily making them public until after the fight. I think they should be collected, because people traditionally mistrust judges in big, close fights. The perception is that judges will go back and alter scores from previous rounds, in order to force a certain outcome. If a judge's score becomes "locked" in after the round, this cannot happen.
But making the score public.... I'm not totally in agreement with. This would make for BORING endings to fights. A fighter who had a comfortable lead would probably spend the rest of the fight running around, not engaging in any meaningful combat. That's not what we fans want to see. A little boxing to preserve a victory is fine, but not to an extreme.
But I realize people will have all sorts of different views about the subject. Bottom line is: there's probably no "perfect system."

agree 100 % with you TitoFan i don't like the whole making it public. the suspense of a close fight is sometimes just as good as the fight was and if we take that away i think it will make boxing somewhat more boring (not that it will be boring to me) but the whole "locking" in scores after every round is a great idea.
Re: Showing Scores Between Rounds???
No i like the excitement at the end of fights where ya dont know the scores. Bernard Hopkins's face when he fought he had won against taylor was legendary. Stuff like that won't happen with open scoring. Ignorance is sometimes bliss.....and on this occassion its wonderful.

I am a fan of it....I think it will curb somew of the "Hometown" judging and add a little more credibility to this wonderful sport...

Oh ok Cheers for clearing that up. Maybe that would work then because if the fight is close the suspense will be there still.
