Has Witter officially lost his mind???
In this latest bit about witter and hatton, witter talkes about a fight with him and hatton being bigger than hatton v castillo, that he, witter is the biggest on the world stage who hatotn can fight lol!
He talks as if there was a sniff that hatton would be interested in a fight with him, the "now or never" when hatton has already said never ever!
I think this guy needs to retire and check into an MRI 'coz his head seems ot be clearly fucked.
WBC light welterweight champion Junior Witter has warned IBF title holder Ricky Hatton that it is now or never if the British pair are to fight.
"There is a window of opportunity, but if we are not careful we are going to miss it. If we're going to meet, it has to be this summer," said Witter, 32.
"Nothing else makes sense for Hatton apart from this, unless he is scared.
"I am a British fighter holding the WBC belt. The most prestigious belt. A belt he has never won."
Bradford boxer Witter has been chasing the showdown for years, but Hatton is set to fight Jose Luis Castillo next. Read more...
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Hatton Witter is a more prestigious and competetive fight than Hatton Castillo.
Witter holds a genuine world belt and beat a genuine world class fighter in his last fight for it and a couple of fights ago he beat Lovemore Ndou more convincing than anyone and put him down a couple of times to boot
A couple of fights ago Castillo was getting stopped by a lightweight
Castillo hasnt got the strength or awkwardness to handle Hatton at his age, why dyou think that they chose him as his first big name fight in America
Someone well known that will stand in front of Ricky
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Witter's talking shit, he's been after this fight for 5 years, begging for it time and time again, and he'll get it whenever Ricky Hatton decides he wants to give it him. Hatton is the one in the driving position as far as this fight is concerned.
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
witter should go and beat some decent opposition and gain a bigger profile in the states. then the fight may happen.
if witter beats someone like d-hop or vivian harris maybe hatton will take the fight.
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Change the record Junior. We KNOW you're available ::**
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
I don't see what's so laugable about a world champion calling out another one in the division... What is this BS?? Like he shouldn't be able to make a sound about Hatton because he's so inferior to anyone Ricky has been fighting recently?? PLEASE. Urango, and now looks like N'dou(who Witter beat ::**), are Hatton's first 2 opponents since returning to 140.. Witter is way better than either of them at this stage and would have been a far better and bigger affair. It's laughable to think that Hatton couldn't have fought him instead of either one of those guys in terms of what it would do for his profile. People get so obsessed with the fact that he's supposedly still trying to conquer America.. Well, Urango and N'dou aren't American, nor are they known entitys in the states, at least no more than Witter. Yes Castillo is a higher profile fight, that's obvious.. But now it looks like Ricky isn't even pursuing that bout, at least no until some after the summer or some BS. I don't think anyone here could say truthfully that Witter wouldn't have been a much better opponent then anyone he has ever fought except KT(at least at 140), and yet people laugh it up when he want's to fight him and praise Hatton for not giving him the time of day. How logical.
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
"Now or never?" He must know Rick is fighting Castillo in the summer, the prat.

Castillo was getting stopped by a lightweight, that was considered one of the hardest punching p4p fighters in the world.
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Witter has a mind ? New one on me lol
So i wud say no he hasnt lost it , never had 1 .
Wish he wud just let his fists do the talking instead of his mouth.

Who is this 'genuine world class fighter' that witter fought and beat in his last fight??
Has witter fought someone else since January 20th ??? ??? ???
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Few days ago Hattons mob were talking the possibility of fighting the winner of N'dou-Rabah. Seeing as N'dou is a Witter victim it's hardly surprising Witters mob took the opportunity to call Hatton out yet again.
Witter is currently one of the top men at 140. It's wrong for him to want THE top man?
I know he’s just had his annual ‘s**t shirt’ competition, but perhaps it should have been ‘s**t pants’ instead, as he would have won that hands down this year. That’s all he seems to do when my name is mentioned.”
And thats funny ;D
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
hahaha ;D
Like that ;D
Witter just wants a big payday before he hangs em up and i still think he would give Ricky huge problems with his style if they got it on anytime this year.
Can't see it at all though :)
Re: Has Witter officially lost his mind???
Maybe LOSING to Witter (Hattons worst nightmare?) is too big of a chance to take. ;)

He beat N'Dou by scores of 115-111 and 114-112 so in reality (the world i'm living in...not yours) the fight was very close and the knockdowns saved Witter. Mitchell and Cotto both won by wider margins.
Hatton wins all but one round agaisnt Urango but everyone says the fight was very close yet Witter falls apart over the last 5 rounds against N'Dou and his win is called 'convicning'. I don't think so somehow!
He fell apart from round 6 onwards against Colin Lynes and Andreas Kotelnik for god's sake. A win against a shot Corley does not make you World Class even if the fight was for the WBC belt. Corley had just come off a win over Johnny Walker. A 12-0 JOhn Murray (another manchester fighter) whooped him more convincingly than Corley did.
To say Witter is a bigger name than Castillo suggests to me that you are infact a circus clown. 1st off nobody lost in that Corrales fight. They both fucking won. If Corrales had kept his gumshield in Castillo probably would have finished it. Castillo was extremely tight at lightweight, that's why he couldn't make that weight anymore. Corrales is moving up to 147. Have you ever seen a Castillo fight?

Your posting this purely on the basis of seeing Junior Witter beating N'Dou or Corley??????
Believe me Witter would not beat Luis Collazo. I'm not sure he would beat Juan Urango to be honest.
He really isn't that good. He has ok power and he's awkward and his reflexes are ok. Don't think his chin has really been tested and he would fold against any decent fighter who applies pressure. You need to do more than Scrape a win against Colin Lynes and Andreas Kotelnik to be labelled as the biggest threat to Ricky Hatton at 140. He needs to show more than a big mouth to make it a super fight.
