What worms those WBC guys are. They want to sanction Vitali, Maskaev but want it to seem like it was someone else's idea. I think the money is fine but I wouldn't give that snake vitali the satisfaction of an easy route to the title. Not to mention vitali's health questiions. He's probably not healthy enough to fight any other heavy besides maskaev. Then if he wins, the klits get their titles simultaneously and he says he's injured and Peter has to wait some more. Who wants to see the Rahman situation unfold again?

Vitali coming back brings more excitement to the heavyweight division, I think everyone agrees on that.Right after Vitali retired he was granted the Emeritus title, everyone knew about it at the time what that entitled him to if he came back.Every heavyweight out there knew if Vitali was able to rehab his injury and return to the ring he would be able to fight for the belt right away, that was very clear.Acording to the rules there shouldn't be any question regarding who should fight Maskaev next, Peter should be very grateful the WBC is even offering him any money let alone 2.5 million and a written guarantee that no one will get between the winner defending against Sam Peter immediately and a 50-50 purse fee split which will guarantee Peter another $3 million to fight the winner in September.It is a win win for Peter at this point he should be very happy with this arrangement and so should the fans of heavyweight boxing. :teacher:

I must confess that with that chunk of change, Peter should take the offer. It will be an early night for Klithead anyway when Maskaev stops him again. Then Peter gets to KO Maskaev and earn a big purse.
