wow. Great matchup, haven't seen enough of Sanchez, might try to get around to that Ive seen his fight with Azumah Nelson and just clips other then that... Certainly beating Nelson and Gomez in their primes is nuts. Don't know enough to pretend to guess how their styles would match up though.
Damn hard to call....Sal was a big featherweight and Pep had trouble with Saddler but that was at the end of his career and Pep still beat him in the rematch.
I'll say Pep by decision but he could have gotten hurt badly as Sanchez had pop and was a good boxer.
another matchup would have been Julio Cesar Chavez vs Salvador Sanchez at 130
sanchez was only 23 i think when he died and he is all time great its amazing just imagine if that accident wouldnt of happened and he would of continued he would of been p4p top 5 i reckon ever

I was just gonna say this would be another Sandy Saddler type fight for Pep..but Lyle beat me to it. CC man . I think Sanchez hit a little harder, but I havent seen too many of his or Saddlers fights. I think Sanchez gets the k.o.
Sanchez in my opinion was the best feather of all and he didnt even reach his peak!!!!!!!
