Pantera was talking about him in a possible fight with Sultan Ibragimov. It's not happening as he pointed out later.
Anyway, a few weeks ago after he knocked out Zuri Lawrence on ESPN2 he spoke with Teddy Atlas. When Atlas asked Guinn what his future plans were he called out Joe Mesi. ???
Joe Mesi... ridiculous. Mesi wasn't the only name on his short list but it was a name he seemed high on. Atlas didn't responded but I am sure he was sickened by it.
no...this guy named Diaz is fighting Ibragimov. The guy who stepped on Kirk Johnsons foot and caused him to pull it out in a fight he was losing...
The heavyweight who took about 30 unanswered punches from Fres Oquendo in the first round and the ref didn't stop it. The same Fres Oquendo who was dropped by the first right hand Holyfield threw in a fight he JUST lost.
So Holyfield has more merit to fight Ibragimov...as sad as that sounds :(

He had no killer instinct, I saw it when he fought Michael Grant....he doesn't have the heart to really let his hands go with bad intentions.
You're right Duke, he COULD have been the Evander Holyfield type fighter everyone thought he was but he just doesn't want to hurt anyone.
He doesn't use his jab enough either
and Joe Mesi is the exact opposite! He isn't extremely gifted at anything but he'll throw for effect and go for the KO.
