What to do before starting training?
I found a local boxing gym around my area, but it costs $40 a month to work out there, so it's going to take a little while for me to find a consistent source of cash to pay this place. In the meantime, I'd like some advice on what to do to get prepared for training. I'm 17, mostly out of shape but with some muscle, and the reason I want to learn to box is to get into better shape, not get my ass kicked by people in school, and just have a good time for a few hours a week. I don't really exercise at all except for lifting weights, doing sit ups, and riding my bike every now and them.
Also this smilie rocks my socks: O0

Running, jumping rope, sit ups, push ups, anything that has to do with cardio will do you good. Cardio will get ahead of the curve so you wont get tired as fast when you actually start training.
