Ben Tackie - Ray Oliveira Great Fight

Watching this fight for the first time right now on ESPN. What a war this one was. I forgot how much of a firecracker Tackie was. Both fighters completely gassed out but both threw 100 punches a round all the way through. No idea who is winning the fight could really go any way entering the 12th. Oliveira had the faster and more crisp punches and hur Tackie a lot to the body. I've never seen Tackie sweep with hooks like he did in this fight.

Tackie was out on his feet at the end of the 11th and then came back in the 12th to hurt Oliveira. Constant action on this one absolutely no lulls in action it's been a joy to watch. Anyone seen this one? Can't beleive I went so long without seeing it. I never even knew they fought before this fight. And I've never seen so many punches in a fight, and it's not like they were shoe shining, these were legit power shots. Awesome fight.

Olivera is a scrappy fighter, he is always wiling to trade in the middle. Seems like hes always in a good fight.

Im fairly sure that this fight actually holds the record for total punches thrown in ANY weight class over 12 rounds.... Perhaps landed even as well.

This was a great fight. Some on here have said that Tackie was never the same after this fight.

Yeah mate.. Tackie is a 100% thrill ride fighter.. win or lose he will bring it, and give his all , what more can you ask for in a prize fighter ? I really love and admire African fighters in general , high determination factor the lot. win of lose . ! yeah and Ray Oliveira is a great man as well.. you would be hard pressed to find a bad match with him in it . :coolclick: #601 amat enjoyed you write up !
