Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
Jermain may be a sound, skilled boxer..
.. but jump all over him and hurt him and he will be stopped - i feel Pantera has the crude determination to get a win over him.
Edison Miranda has the testosterone of a tomcat with 3 testicles - and given a decent venue with a neutral ref, could beat up JT pretty badly. Especially given JT's low left.
Hell if 'lil Kasim Ouma can dent him hard and often, then i'm sure Miranda can do the bizz.
What you guys think? i'd wager JT wins the first couple of rounds before running like the wind...

....and you accuse other posters of "pole smoking"....sounds to me like you found a pole to smoke
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
I really don't think so. Ouma hits everyone because he doesn't load up on every punch and he throws a lot of arm punches. Sometimes he doesn't even pull his arms back to his body before throwing.
JT is well schooled, he has good footwork and I don't think he would stay in one spot long enough for Miranda to catch up to him. Miranda does have a pretty good right that really came out last night but I don't think he's ready for a solid, smart straight punching fighter just yet.
Let Miranda face Pavlik and a couple more before he gets in the ring with Taylor. It would be a frustrating night for Miranda if he went straight for Taylor. Taylor may not have impressed in his last few fights, but he's been facing the best of the best. I think a wild straight forward fighter would be just what JT needs to get some of the haters off his back.
Not to say I don't like Miranda, he just isn't ready.

Hey dont pick on me dude!
I always defend you!
Just the other day, some other posters were saying how they saw you walking down the street eating a bacon, lettuce, tomato and 13inch penis sandwich and i said "bull crapp, Lyle don't like bacon, lettuce or tomato"
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
Tuff call.
Taylor can't do jack on the back foot while Miranda seems to rarely lull.
It all depends on which Taylor shows up to fight...or maybe there's only one Taylor now...the stuttering Stanley Taylor...if that's the case...Miranda will have a hard fight on his hand but will end up TKO'ing Taylor.
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
i would love to see this fight. last night was the first time i saw Miranda and i liked what i saw but i'm sure he would beat taylor.
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
Kassim ouma gave him hell and shut his eye after 12 rounds... Miranda will out-muscle the spineless one ;D

Ouma is an inside fighter thats where he's most effective, Miranda brings all his shots from the outside.
There's a big difference there.
Taylor would pick Miranda apart.

i wouldn't call someone who took fights with Hopkins and Winky spineless..
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
Miranda would be trianed to fight Taylor a little differently than against Green. I think we would see a less aggressive Miranda and more fighting on the inside. Taylor likes to fight going backwards, and that is what he would be expecting. I hope it happens soon, but for now Miranda vs Pavlik is looking like it will happen. I am really looking forward to Pavlik getting KTFO!

Did you watch his fight against Allan green last weekend?? You want to talk about a spineless one... Yeesh, if Miranda couldn't have used these bullrush tactics your suggesting and stopped Green, I have a hard time seeing how he would do so against Taylor, who is much much better than Allan Green, although he does have his flaws. I feel Taylor would just outbox Miranda. It would be a good fight, but Taylor has alot more to keep Edison off of him than Green does, and yet Allan was still basically able to do so for most rounds, forcing a very dull uneventful fight. Jermain would simply have to do the same thing, only throw his jab and the 1-2 regularly. I see no reason why he couldn't do this. To me, Miranda looked very very beatable against Green.. He was there to be outboxed, Green simply fought scared and didn't throw anything. Granted he was reluctant to taste Mirandas power, but he had endless openings to safely land the jab and he would just kind of flick it out there then run away. Basically I would expect a somewhat dull Taylor win if these two fought.. Though Jermain could stop him late imo.
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
I see Taylor winning this one. People talk about Miranda KO'ing everybody as if he is some kind of invincible terminator but he has little skill and his own chin is questionable.
I've only seen his fights since Eastman but he had rocky moments against Eastman, Abraham and Green.
Really I think Jeff Lacy is better than Miranda, slightly less one punch power, but a better boxer and a better chin.
Miranda is the type of fighter who looks great as long as he is winning, but once he gets in there with a boxer who isn't afraid of him, and who can capitalise on his weaknesses he is getting knocked out.
And once he's been stopped once he will be softened up for the future.
By the end of his career Miranda will have been knocked out at least 3 times, and if he has a long career maybe 5 or 6.
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
No way Taylor is way better than Miranda.

PFP you know we seldom disagree about anything, but this one we are worlds apart as far as Taylor goes, I like Jermain for his heart and ballz he's just like Lacy and Miranda he will fight anyone, anytime, anywhere and thats rare these days..
I feel No one has exposed Taylor, but Taylor has exposed himself... He has abandoned the money punch that got him to the big dance.. HIS JAB, he had one of the best in the Biz but it is non existent now... He has a propensity to waste punches and energy because of a controled wildness that he hasnt improved on... I also feel like Steward hasnt done a thing to improve Jermain albeit 2 fights, still Jermain looked wild and undisciplined as well as lost in some moments of the Winky and Ouma fights...
I 'm starting to think he caught Bhop at the right time with his age and youthful energy and I think his physical strength and athleticism saw him thru the Winky draw.....
Bilbo said something to the effect on another thread that it was a matter of time that a long punishing night was awaiting Miranda, on the Contrary I think that will be Jermains fate.... He hasnt improved and just looks like the same fighter that was labeled a prospect a couple years ago :-\
Re: Miranda will KO Jermain Taylor
First off though, Taylor has fought Hopkins twice, and Winky. Two legends of the sport, who would also likely SEVERELY embaress Miranda if one were to fight him. I just don't see anything Miranda has done/shown that Taylor hasn't, and he hasn't fought the same kind of opposisition by a long shot. I feel, like I explained, that Miranda showed enough weakness against Green to give Taylor a shit load to work with. Ill admit he has abandoned the jab a bit, but let's not forget it's a bit different landing your jab against Hopkins or Winky than it would be to do so against Miranda.. Allan Green was able to repeatedly land the jab against Edison, he didn't put anything on it, and was scared shitless to engage, but there were tons of openings... Miranda is just too easy to hit when he tries to box from the outside, Taylor would hve to be crazy not to throw his jab. Mirandas best chance would be to bumrush Taylor and try to get him on the inside, but I think Taylor would land his right hand when he was coming in... People try to criticize Taylor for his performance against Ouma, but I don't think Miranda could take the same right hands that Ouma was, personally.. Kassim is just a tough mofo plain and simple, it's hard to be impressive when your a power puncher like Taylor and the guy in front of you has no problem taking your money punch(a straight right) and wants to be right inside all night.. You can say Taylor is the same fighter he was a couple years ago and you may well be right... But I don't exactly see any improvements Miranda has made.. Neither of them are much different then they were a couple years ago, I just think Taylor was the better fighter then, just as he is now. That and the fact that Taylor has much more room to improve and execute a game plan imo. Miranda is the raw fighter, who isn't going to change his style. Jermain could, we'll just have to see.
