When WBC sanctioned its 1st Cruiserweight title fight

Ive always wondered how the Cruiserweight was initially received when it came into force?

Ive been reading around, trying to learn a bit more about the Cruiserweight division and its fairly short history.
What i can’t find is a history of opinions, just wondered if anyone can still remember how they felt when they first heard plans of a new division being created?
