i see ur a head hunter! would have liked to see some body shot hook combos.......but ur ok keep at it ;)
u drop your hands after you've hit it and your shots dont tend to come from your chin. its only slight but you would get countered if fighting something that hits back. also it doesnt look like your hitting with the knuckle part of your glove with your left hooks which is sometimes called 'slapping' and you could break your hand if you land that shot on a harder target (e.g. another boxer or even a pad).
also you need a hair cut mate ;D
but a lot of good stuff there aswell mate so take it only as constructive critisism.
im by no means an expert....but i noticed a few things u could work on to help u........
KEEP UR CHIN TUCKED INTO UR CHEST AND TRY SOME HEAD MOVEMENT UR A STATIONARY TARGET AND ALSO SHARPEN UR JAB(think of ur jab like a wet towel when u use to whip ur mates with when u were a kid) ur jab is that wet towel
kepp at it son your doin fine ;)
Aight cool, I'm all about the constructive critisism. I've never been to a boxing gym or had anyone teach me so I have no real idea what I am doing. I have seen a few videos on the net that teach technique.
Keep the replies coming
if you need any help with any technique just ask mate i have never been to gym either but my grandad was boxer he taught me how to fight and ect so if you need any help with anything just askQuote:

Seems a lot of people train only alone on this message board - suprising.
I really enjoy the gym atmosphere and you learn so much more with a coach.
No problems usually if you don't want to compete or spar and just want to work out - just tell the coach.
All good if you prefer to train alone but I'd be tempted to just try a gym and see how it goes :)
Hope you're enjoying it anyway :)
Lol I those gloves!! :P I use em on the bag!!Quote:

Peace
I'm no pro myself, but one thing I also noticed was that when you're dancing around, you become stationary right before you begin to throw your punches. Other than that though, you look pretty tough. Keep at it. ;)
find your distance, your smothering your shots a bit. you will also want to turn over on your shots , another words you don't want to slap punch. you want to keep the wrist str8 and twist on the impact.
Keep it up mate !
A specific observation I had was that when your just throwing the jab, your right kinda stays tucked up there.. But when your planning on throwing the right after the jab, you can see the right drop down ready before the jab is even half extended... That's a major telagraph of a big right hand punch....
My main suggestion would be to just slow it down a little, take a little bit of power out of it and just tighten everything up.. That's my trainers favourite saying at the moment.. "tighten everything up"... Just think that over and over in your head while your going at it and you'll find your technique improves a lot... once is set in like concrete, then you can loosen up and start swinging away like that and the for will stay a lot better..
But as someone as said, it could be a hell of a lot worse, so keep up the good work and keep posting the vids as you'll get great help with everyone here helping you with progress..
You might want to move your bag furthur away from the wall, that way you can move all the way around the bag and not run into the wall. You want to use the heavy bag to help you move as well as punch. Not bad punches but your right seems to come from the hip, try to throw slightly straighter shots those looked like you were punching a little too high.
