Celistino Cabalerro
He downed Sithchatchawal 3 times in Thailand and followed it up by stopping Ricardo Castillo in the 9th round tonight. He's an absolutely towering bantamweight standing 5'11 and has a very high workrate. On top of all that he's a southpaw. I think he is in the thick of things at the top of 122 now. If he fought Marquez he would have a 6 inch height advantage.
What does everyone think of him? I saw him fight Somsak and he looked very good. Uses his height very well and has a crisp left hand. 122 is a deep division right now at the top with Marquez, Vazquez, Ponce De Leon, Bautista, Vorapin and a bunch of others. So how do you rate his chances versus any of these guys?

Re: Celistino Cabalerro
I think he puts up a great fight and even beats all of the fighters listed except for Marquez and Vazquez

Re: Celistino Cabalerro
In all honesty I was not impressed with the way Caballero faught tonight....
He didn't show much of what got him there, Castillo caught him plenty of times and clean it seemed as if Caballero was content with getting hit cause he knew he (Caballero) would have his chance to fire back.....
He also stood around for tooo long at times and let Castillo get the best of him on a couple of rounds, his pushing off with the shoulder is too obvious I mean if he plans on continuing to get away with that he has to tone it down a bit. I was suprised the ref. did not deduct a point for that....
All in all in the end he won and thats what matters, but I can honestly say that the way he fought tonight Marquez, PDL and Vasquez all would have beat him.....

Re: Celistino Cabalerro
He has such a monstrous physical presence for the weight that I don't think we can always count him out BUT he has lost and was stopped wasn't he> So he is vulnerable.
