I disagree. This this mans ONE shot. HE wanted to continue. HE has to live with the thought of maybe... surviving another round....
No way it was Vinnie ONE shot. The trainer did the wrong thing.

I dont think Teddy Atlas would do it because as his GREAT book says its easier to take the pain once than for the rest of your life.

Maddalone's head was snapping all over the place, and Evander had already made his head look like a pez dispenser with uppercuts on 2 occasions that started that sequence and Vinny had no legs and was all over the place holding for dear life, you dont Phuck around letting Heavyweight fighters take that kind of punishment especially when he isint throwing back and just trying to survive.... Maddalone was cooked again smart stoppage, of course he wanted to continue if you asked most fighters they want to keep going, the trainer knows his man more intimately than you or I and has his best interest and compassion in mind

since when was protecting your fighter the wrong thing. OF COURSE vinny wanted to continue, he's a boxer, and no boxer wants to admit when he's beat, but thats what trainers are for. to guide you, and protect you from YOURSELF.

OK YOU MAY BE RIGHT. I WASNT THERE AND DIDNT SEE HOW HOPELESS IT WAS. I THINK THOUGH THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IN TO CONSIDERATION HOW IMPORTANT THE FIGHT IS. this was V most important fight and b) the referee would have stopped it anyway; that would be easier to live with than throwing in the towel. STILL I think you are right, I ve chngd my mind.

Sh*t I never realised that Maddalone was that bad...this guy can't box properly...and his game plan was mediocre. how can a guy like that was able to develop at this stage ? damm I should have turned pro instead of being a financial auditor :-)

Evander took the good boxer, he just need that, someone who cannot box, is heavy, and make you look good.

Evander is working strongly in the gym, you can see that, he's in much better condition, I liked his left hand. but no way he's gonna survive agasint a klitchko or Peter...
