HBO has big plans for Kessler
According an interview in the danish tabloid paper B.T Luis Barragan the program director at HBO was so satisfied with the reactions after the Kessler-Andrade fight. That HBO have decide that only a fight with a big name would satisfy the American public demand for a new Kessler fight, he has 3 names in the bag: Joe Calzaghe, Jermain Taylor or Bernard Hopkins.
So I think they would try to get either a fight against Taylor or Hopkins I guess the Americans would like that more than a Kessler-Calzaghe fight.
I would prefer the last since I think Kessler and Calzaghe would be the boxing thriller of the year. The other names are great no doubt about that but Joe Calzaghe has a special talent that need to be challenge, I think Kessler could do just that 8)

According to the Danish newspapers Jyllandsposten (www.jp.dk) and EkstraBladet (www.eb.dk) Luis Barragan said that only one fight is interesting... Kessler vs. Calzaghe.
www.eb.dk also writes that Kessler is going to New York today (Thursday) for an interview.

Luis Barragan from HBO stated that the American audience would demand nothing lesser than Kessler vs Calzaghe, Taylor or B-Hop.

The demand is clearly there for it...I agree, it needs to be Calzaghe: Kessler...

Unless of course Spinks moves up again and Calzaghe subsequently decides a crack at the Spinkster is well worth the US exposure :-X

LOL. CC 242. The less funny part is, considering it's Calzaghe, this doesn't even sound implausible.

I will bet every dollar i have got that when joe beats manfredo that he will not mention kessler as a future opponent even though he knows the fans want this fight the most.I would love to be a fly on the wall if warren tells calzaghe that you will be fighting kessler next.One can already imagine the excuses.
