Filipino boxer dies in Thailand after KO loss

Filipino prof. boxer Lito Sisnorio Jr. died saturday night just hours after his knock out loss to Thai boxer Cartchai Sasakul. Sasakul a former world champion that was dethrowned by Manny Pacquiao in 1998. Lito Sisnorio Jr. loss consciousnes just before having his dinner. Initial reports say that this was caused by a blood clot in his brain. The Filipino fighter, who absorbed a fourth-round knockout defeat from the Thai, was on his way to dinner on Saturday when he collapsed. He was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery to remove blood clotting in his brain. According to reports, the 24-year-old Filipino regained consciousness after the surgery but died due to massive heart failure at Bangkok's Piyamin Hospital. Philippine Gaming and Amusement Board has temporarily suspended all applications of Filipino pro boxers to fight in Thailand pending an investigation. It was also learned that the last two fights of Lito Sisnorio Jr. in Thailand had no permits from the gaming board.
