The list is in fact so short it only includes two fighters-American Jermain Taylor and Danish superstar Mikkel Kessler.

Wouldn't it be a kick in the teeth for Joe C if it ends up being Kessler v Taylor....and he gets a rematch against Sakio Bika? To be honest i'd love to see either of those fights happen, but I'd lean towards the Kessler fight. As far as I can see, FW is often full of hot air, but it is vital that he comes through with a huge fight next.
I would like it to be Kessler vs Calzaghe but this year because next year Calzaghe will be 36 he will start getting old and if Kessler beats him people will say Calzaghe got old overnight or whatever. It would be nice to see in september or october
Of all the fights that are possible in world boxing right now this is the one I want most.It would be a crime if it did not take place.Mikkel kessler wants it, so does his promoter.Kessler has said he will fight joe in his backyard if the money is right so Imo the only people that could stuff this fight up with going ahead is joe calzaghe and his selfish promoter frank warren.
If for some reason on the part of warren or calzaghe this doesn't happen i will never refer to joe as a champion again.Real champions don't avoid the real deals and IMO kessler is just that.
It is up to joe c to force frank to make this fight happen....
I think the key factor there is 'if the money is right'....I don't think he has put a figure on that. I still think that Kessler is goading the Calzaghe camp, and saying either they have to pay him a large part of the funds, or to go fight him in Denmark. Either way, I think Calzaghe warrants the biggest share as the long-established champion. Once Kessler puts the percentage he wants out in the open then that will really put the cat amongst the pigeons.Quote:

I agree Calzaghe should have lions share it should be a 60/40 split in Calzaghes favour and it would be good to have it in Cardiff it would sellout
Warren should get Kessler,I want to see Taylor fight the Miranda Pavlik winner.
If Kessler goes to Wales or Manchester the share should be 50/50 IMO, and if Calzaghe goes to Copenhagen 60/40 for him.Quote:
