WBC flyweight champon Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (65-2, 34 KOs) successfully retained his crown for the seventeenth time as he scored an eighth round TKO over WBC #14 Tomonobu Shimizu (10-2,4KOs) on Friday in Saraburi Province, Thailand. The source reported that Pongsaklek mostly controlled the fight and dropped the Japanese once with a big right hook in round seven.

Huh? Why do you say this? Pongsaklek is a decent fighter. The thing I'm amazed at is that he is fighting so soon after having just been in a fight in whch his oppenet was fatally injured. What gives with that?Quote:
