I would be surprised to see it come off to be honest. Jones is past his best, 38, inactive and seems to have real issues signing on the dotted line for fights. That and Taylor is already busy with a fight against Spinks....

Jones Jr. and Taylor........would that be a test or a tune up fight. Roy Jones is still shocked about his loss to to Tarver......now Bernard and Taylor III, that woould be live......and it may happen, you know money talks.

Jones Jr agreed verbally to fight Tony Hanshaw and eventually resonded with a text message to say the fight was not possible. Jones is inactive and hasnt beaten a top fighter for a long time. He says things and does quite another. Jones Jr is at the crossroads and is unsure of himself and I highly doubt a fight with Taylor is on the cards!

he said yesterday that the reason he didnt go through with that fight was because he was told gary shaw would have to be the promoter, he said its still gonna happen as long as he can choose the promoter

To a degree what I was thinking
At 38 a fighter who hasnt had an opponent of any merit since maybe Virgil Hill,is going to come down two weight classes,who's lost 3 of his 4 fights,to fight the champion of a weight class he hasnt fought at for 12 years.
Smoke,and mirrors,try and keep the fighter popular with his mouth instead of his fists
