nobody really gives a damn about Chico vs Clottey?

i mean much love to sal for covering the chico beat down from clottey but seriously man?????

Wasnt even on tv here in the UK, was it a decent fight? Maybe Ill try and find it online.

probably because Chico has been in so many court battles over the belts and his then missing weight as well people became disinterested in him....and Clottey is not getting any props in the american msports media....

Clottey's two losses are knid of bad luck situatons..first loss was dq' against Baldomir, for headbutting. Then he broke his hand in the 4th round against Margarito. Most people think he would have won both of those fights.

I think Corrales showed tremendous heart last night in his loss to Clottey. I didn't think he was gonna beat Clottey, but I was rootin for Chico to pull it off the whole time. Corrales went the distance, but he took a beating, the man chose to go to war with Clottey rather than try to box him. Which, in reality was probably the only thing he could do, Clottey has tight defense and very fast hands. The little bastard does headbutt though, or least constantly lead with his head, plus every chance he got, he pushed down on Corrales and tried to tire him out. It was a hell of a fight, and much more worthy of praise than that Calzaghe garbage. That fat ref stopped it way too soon.

I've definitely got to give Sal his propers for covering the fight, O0
It was the only way I could find out what was happening, and I am also surprised at the apparent lack of interest in the fight.
The only thing I will say about the Calzaghe/Manfredo farce is that you can't really blame Calzaghe for it, its just that Frank Warren is a joke of a promoter who only seems to care about lining his pockets with the profits of his mediocre (at best) cards. This is to the detriment of his own fighters, as well as his reputation and the sport as a whole. I can only wonder how many Manfredo-esque opponents Amir Khan will fight in the future as we are constantly told how great he is.
