Where does Matt Godfrey ramk among the top Cruisers in the world?
I'd say he's somewhere in the top five or six. I think Jean-Marc Mormeck, O'Neil Bell and Steve Cunningham are the best that the division has to offer. Godfrey falls in with David Haye, Vadim Tokarev and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. He is coming along nicely, stepping up in competition and looking good doing it. Big victories like the one over Felix Cora Jr. go a long way in earning respect and title shots.

He's probably broken into top ten, he's looked pretty good to me.

Campaining at Heavy. now, thats why I didn't include him.
But def. would be in there if he was still at Cruiser.

Yeah! BoxRec also has their ALL-TIME Bantamweight list like this:
Manuel Ortiz
Lou Salica
Fighting Harada
Ruben Olivares
Eder Jofre
How both 'Puas' & 'Golden Bantam' are below those 3 guys is beyond me.
(I don't have an issue with 'Harada' cause a case can be made for him but the other 2 forget it I don't care what you tell me I don't buy it)
Heres another one:
Corrales just lost his 1st fight at Welter he took on Clottey. How Corrales is rated at #10 by them is beyond me.

Again for what its worth,a loss is temporary death to your ranking, even by promoter standards

Jones is one of the most entertaining but he moved up to heavyweight a few months ago. Whats crazy is he started his career as a welterweight and still has that clubbing right hand. His fight vs. Braithwaite (sp?) was classic
Re: Where does Matt Godfrey ramk among the top Cruisers in the world?
Why did Jones move up to heavy? Weight problems? Crazy that he was a jr. middle at one point.
I thought he was a good cruiser, should have stayed there, doesn't seem like he has the power to be a great heavyweight.
