Another fight for me
Is on april 28th. I took a couple weeks off and just didnt go hit the bag. Just ran and lifted weights (nothing too crazy) I started training yesterday. Its going to be 4 days a week until the 28th. I dont know who I am fighting yet so that should be fun
3 2 minute rounds
I lost my last one by decision....I could not relax and let me hands go was my main problem

Re: Another fight for me
I lost my first and then ended up winning 3 in a row...
2nd bout was a tough win.
3rd was rough but easy... kid ended up in hospital overnight getting his nose fixed
4th was a one punch knock out in under ten seconds ;)
1st was close but I couldn't seem to lead off and let my shots go... 2nd bout my adrenalin was flowing properly and I was using my 'boxing brain' ;) Had a game plan and stuck to it...
You've got to learn to box but you've also got to learn to control your emotions and energy leading up to the bout... so you learn a lot from your first no matter what the outcome. :)

Re: Another fight for me
Nice to have that kind of progression of obvious improvement from one fight to the next. Were they all within a short but not too short space of time?
I tend to feel if they are very close together it's hard to see improvement but if they're too far apart it feels like every fight is almost your first again.

Re: Another fight for me
I bang around with a couple people today, i got knocked around but they are all pros with belts so I am not upset at all. Felt good. Since this is my second fight, I am at a different state of mind. I am ready to knock someone out, throw 4 5 punch combos move, I dont know who I am fighting but then again I am not scared. The fight is 28th, so I got some sparring on Thursday, and Tuesday, and Training Saturday and Wednesday (with trainer) . Rest Thursday and Friday
