Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
i dont believe anyone should say cotto will win or anyone say zab will win because its hard to tell they both hit hard zabs faster but is meantally weaker and we dont know who will land the first big punch, because both have weak chins .......... i think we should stop with the predictions for this fight everyone wants one of them to win but we shoudnt state it in certanity................ even though i bet $5 on Zab i jus did it cuz my boy bet on cotto and to make it fun ....... this is a very tough fight to call imo
so from now on state who u would likee to win not who u think wiill win cuz i thnk its impossible to call
wat i do think is it wont go the decision
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
thats what make this fight so exciting. They both have the skills to exploit each others weaknesses.

You are basing Cotto's weak chin on what grounds?
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
I hate the possibilities of this match up.
Reason being? Simple...I 100% loathe Zab Judah with every fiber of my being. Can't stand the little fwock!
That being said...I honestly believe that Judah could pull off an upset...& that's the other reason that I hate the possibilities of this match up.
I love & respect Cotto. He's in my top 5 favorites...& I'd hate to see Judah outbox Miguel, which is exactly what I think is going to happen.

I think Cotto has to be very careful mainly in the first 4 rounds where Judah will be lot faster and punching hard. I may be wrong, but I think Zab will look for an early KO and being aggressive as he did with Spinks.
Actually, Zab was competitive with Maywheather the first couple of rounds, but we know what happened later, and Floyd does not have Cotto's power. If Cotto can avoid that initial attack, I believe it will be a matter of time to KO Judah. I don't think this fight will go to a decision. And, I have a similar internal conflict as you since the KO may go either way. And, I have special feelings being a Puerto Rican as Miguel.

Let me break it down since you are a bit confused by what happend.
Corley dazed Cotto with a temple shot.
That is not his chin.
Torres flurried and rocked Cotto. Miguel took plenty of shots but was braught down by a push. Yes he was rockin' and a rollin' but he has been able to weather the storm in both instances. He did not get hit once and go down. It was a barrage of a punches and a push.
Zab on the other hand, was hit once flush on the chin by a huge right hand by Kostya Tszyu and that was all she wrote.
Cotto is no longer that weight drained fighter he was against Torres or Corley.
A wreckless Cotto means trouble for Cotto.
A poised Cotto means loads of trouble for Zab.
Cotto's chin might be a bit suspect but Judah's chin is guilty and has been criminally charged.
;D
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
Floyd adapted to Zab that fight though, and only because of his speed and skill was he able to do so. Cotto has been able to hit every opponent he has gone in against. He may just as frustrated at not having an easy target as Judah gets when can't ko a guy in 2 rounds. Both have bad chins, and both can take eachother out.

I don't totally agree with that, yeah he did make adjustments, and that did play a big part.
But Floyd is not the first guy that Zab has looked great against early and then faded. Even in the Tsyzu fight he looked great the first round and then looked lost in the second. Looked good early against Corley, Weis, Pineda, and Baldomir but then leveled off and faded. Actually the Spinks fights are the only ones that I can think of where Zab came on strong as the fight went on. He always looks good early and then levels off, even Floyd said he was a front runner.
As for the fight, I really want to see what happens, Cotto could have some real trouble early.
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
ok sum of u sayin that cotto doesnt have a bad chin? ok fuck his chin when he gets hit hard anywhere he gets rocked so he has a weak head f u will and judah has been rocked by 3 punches so u say he has a good chin? amean cmon if cotto was put down against b class competetion what will happen when judah hits him harder and faster than hes ever been hit ........ everyone can agree cotto hasnt fought a zab judah yet and i agree with sumone i dont jknow who who said floyd wasable to learn zab and nuetrelixe him with great technique and speeed does cotto have smarts of mayweather and speed ...... no i credit most of zabs fading to floyd not zab i owe a cc to whoever said that .................. noww dont get me wrong i giv cotto more than a big chance to win jus responding to sum of u guys
i got this fight 50/50

^^ cc i agree
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
Good post Ouma. Totally agree and the fact that Zab came on against Spinks has more to do with Spinks fading imo.
Anyways, Zab has power that's for sure. But a lot of that power comes when he is flatfooted, I don't see him willing to stand his ground against Cotto. Which means he'll probably have to make angles which he does do and that's one of the few things he does really well. But Cotto's fairly active in transition now which is what he wasn't against Corley or especially Torres. I don't think the oppurtunities are going to present themselves like some people think.
But Cotto's chin isn't the best and he can be put down. Which is Zab's only hope imo. Zab has never given a boxing lesson in the past except against Micky Ward maybe, no way he gives one to Cotto.
Zab is going to have to catch him and pounce to finish the job. Cotto does get hit by straight punches a fair bit, and that's something Judah can throw especially the left. If he manages to hurt Cotto, which could very well happen then he is going to have to find a serious meanstreak and get the job done on the ropes or something.
But Zab just has so many bad habits that make it extremely unlikely for him to give Cotto any sort of a boxing lesson imo. He'll present a new challenge to Cotto that's for sure, but between dropping his hands after every combo, backpeddling with his hands down completely across the ring, lunging in with his right hand at his hip and his loopy punches in transition just makes it impossible to think for me that Zab is going to win this one.
Cotto UD with about 4 rounds for Zab.
Re: Cotto can knock Zab out, but Zab can knock Cotto out
Floyd GAVE Zab the first 3 rounds...in the pre fight interviews he said"I'm gonna let him slip a couple of rounds and take him into deep water".He called Zab a "front runner".So its not like Floyd was overwhelmed in the first 5 rounds. As for the fight with Cotto,I had it 60-40 in favor of Cotto...but Zab "seems" to have focused so I have it at 50-50.If Zab settles down I have him taking a split decision. If Cotto and Zab try to be overly aggressive, I see one of them running straight into a punch and either getting KO'd or losing focus and giving the fight away.
-I'm on Zab's side though...he is BMF now-
