I was working Feur with some light sparring,and suddenly the bell rung
I knew I was nursing a sprained ankle,and a sprained wrist
But suddenly I wanted to go again
I ended up hurt worse,spitting out my mouthpiece,just when she was statrting to get shi&
Flame away,Im a dope,I deserve it
Oh for the record,the shots were pulled
Just sudenly I started boobing and weaving,the shot the ankle buckled on was a step out over hand
Like I said,the bell went,ding one more time,I heard it more then my body
It's very tempting to try to do what you could before being injured when you are in that atmosphere. You might feel like a fool afterwards but you wouldn't be the first - human nature i think :)
Some days I would be best served to remember my age. I still dont know what Im more peeved by,re-rolling my ankle(which should have been taped,but wasnt,I give good advice,I dont necessarily follow it) or the fact that Id been working to set up the shot,and I had her stone cold dead to rights when it rolled. :beatup2: :box3:Quote:

Well, I think at times like that in pro fights, they say that the boxer starts fighting with their Heart... when they know something is wrong but they just can't give up..... Some great fights have been won that way... But i'm sure a lot have been lost too....
Hope your injuries heal up soon! and don't beat yourself up to much.. You're in their doing it and it sounds like you don't like to give up! that puts you ahead of 95% of the population in my opinion.....

How long should a spraigned ankle take to go away? And should I do ANY running in that time?
Depends on the degree of the sprain,and wether or not its your first one.Quote:

How Ive ended up with chronic ankle problems,was just like the other night.Rushed myself back in to action,and didnt bother to tape it.
