Re: am i too late to be a pro boxer????
Never to late. A lot of fighters start up in the military or after prison real late. Chances are you won't amount to much as far as name recognition goes but that shouldn't go anywhere to discourage you. Tons of boxers, few greats but I know a lot of boxers wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Ever met someone with a boxer in the family? Even if they boxed twice in the 20's, that story carries on forever honestly. I mean, don't let age get you back if you train and make it to the pro ranks you done good. I know some boxers have started as late as 34 and went on to make it on TV. You really wanna do it, I mean your 22 not 40 don't let age hold you back.
Re: am i too late to be a pro boxer????
it's not too late but don't expect to win any title. Just do it to satisfy your desire.

Re: am i too late to be a pro boxer????
No. It is not too late, but you need to start as an amature and get some fights under your belt before you step up. Make sure you join a good gym amd have thick skin. Learn the basics and then begin sparing...but don't begin until you are certain you can defend yourself. After your first sparing session, you will feel like a new man...just take it from there and learn work the basics along with the different levels of defense. Block punches, move your head, and move your feet. The other stuff like combo puching by the numbers, countering, slipping, parrying, slip and slide, will come later. Also, you will find out what your best punch is fairly quickly. When I started, I learned that my right cross was just fair, but my left hook was lethal. Sometimes, the jab will become your best weapon. At any rate, all this will become evident as you progress. Best of luck.

Re: am i too late to be a pro boxer????
Its never too late man. I'm twenty one and I have been boxing for 2 months now, my first amature fight is in 2 months and in about two years I will be turning pro I can guarantee it. The reason I can guarantee it is because I want it bad enough. If you want it bad enough don't let nothing stop you. Hey after all Hasim Rakman did not step into a boxing gym untill the age of twenty and he went on to be heavy weight champ of the world. Oh and Antonio Tarver did not turn pro till he was get this, twenty eight and look how far he got. you just have to want it baby, you just have to want it.
Re: am i too late to be a pro boxer????
