WBC Champ. since 2001 has defended the title 17 times out of the 17 I would guess about 3 were actually mandatories nonetheless top 10 boxers.

how many stars were there in the supermiddleweight division before lacy and kessler. Joe wanted to fight roy jones for years but jones usually wants the whole pie and throws the leftovers to his opponents. calzaghe wasn't a profitable proposition for any fighter with a huge risk until he defeated lacy, that is why guys like bernard fought other fighters.
