In my personal opinion RH will will on points, gona swarm all over JLC. I dont see too many opptions after the fight(bar Witter) at that weight. If he steps up again i beleave he will adjust better and a match up with cotto would be interesting to say the least. Theres no doubt in my mind that hatton can win this fight as brutal as it would be? Plenty of options at if he were to win against JLC, how would he do against the boys at welter??
:coolclick: welcome to the forum. I too think Hatton will win, and from there on I think he will be chasing more superfights at 147. In an interview with FHM he says he has 4-5 fights left in him and he'll be chasing the big names, I quote "From here on in, if I lose, at least I got beaten by the best out there,"
That tells me that he's chasing superstardom world wide, with boxers I think you can only tell how good they were when they take an L, it's like a measuring stick for example, Duran's measuring stick was Benitez at 154, he was 1-1 or victorius with every fighter he had faught in his career at that point, and he's a natural 135lber. I think that is what Ricky Hatton is chasing.
I too think Ricky will take a decision, but it should be a great fight. I personally doubt Ricky will take on Witter at any point. I've never rated Witter, he lacks the talent to be a truly world class fighter.
Although he lost his last fight, I believe Hatton will face Corrales after Castillo. He's a big name and it's a fight Ricky can win by KO. It'd be the only fight left at light-welter really, after Corrales said he would drop down after the mauling by Clottey.
Corrales is done after loosing to clottey..And cannot make light welter weight anyway..Quote:

But the next fight for ricky imo is not witter.. I say witter looses the title to viv harris who is his mandatory and hatton and harris will fight .. Plus the wbc tends to be a little better with theyr mandatory challengers so hatton is unlikely to drop the title without a couple of defenses..
I mean vivian harris aint all that bad for a mandatory challenger in all fairness!

Im currently in ausi at the moment, bak in a month so havent seen the fhm interview, sounds like interesting stuff. like Calzaghe i feel RH should be facing A class oppents from here on in. After the collazo fight theres no doubt RH knew how close he woz to a loss, so you have got to ask questions if he could become no. 1 welter-weight in the world. The boys gona have to take some serious risks if gona get to where he really wants to be. although i can see RH losing a fight at welter and think he's gona shock a few people along the way. Who do you think RH could not beat hands down at welter?

I'm unsure about Ricky at Welter. I think he'd destroy Margarito. That boy is unbelievably overrated. I think the Mosley fight would be interesting. It really does depend on what day you catch Shane on. I personally don't think Hatton can beat Cotto. IMO Cotto can become pound for pound best as alot of guys will be looking to retire and this guy is clearly the future. Hatton should stick around at Light-Welter, I still think there are a few fights available. I don't agree that Corrales is done, he's got too much pride. I agree Malignaggi and Harris could be a great fights though.
I wouldn't rag on him for taking a domestic unification fight with Witter, that has to be worth good coin and deep down he must want that fight bad. It would look good to become a 2 division and 2 time undisputed champion.
I don't think Hatton wants the fight. I think Hatton knows he has little to prove by beating Witter and he's after the fights that would make his name. He's already Britains best at this weight so he has nothing to gain. It wouldn't be a unification fight either as Hatton had to give up his IBF title.Quote:
