Short answer is no it doesnt but it raises the game of the local favorite:)

It can be a bit intimidating...as a kid I went to Ireland to fight as an amatuer in a USA VS Irelan amatuer show....Leave me tell you when you have 2,000 people booing and yelling at you with a foreign accent knowing you are ten thousand miles away can take it's toll...By the second day they warmed up to us though and just started cheering for everyone

I think they loved me as much as I loved them... especially afterwards...
back at the days I was fighting (for nothing but pride) it was a real boost for me !! I had nothing to lose situation...losing ? okay they are all expecting me to lose, no pressure....
but fighting at home, it was something else....
