Riddick Bowe vs Tyrell Biggs Seeing This Fight Bowe Would Of Never Beaten Lewis

Just watching this fight Bowe was in his prime here and good shape but Biggs was just hitting him at will with his jab Bowe kept eating and eating and eating jab from Biggs and he even managed to stagger Bowe in 3rd round what i've been saying all along Bowe was great inside fighter but just over average fighter when someone keeps it at distance so unless Bowe got a lucky punch on Lewis he would of lost but just watching it again Bowe would of koed Lewis if Lewis got stupid and brawled on inside like he did with Mercer but if he fought smart he would beat Bowe bad with his jab.

I agree Bowe would have never beaten Lennox but not because of this fight. Many fighters fight down to their level of competition and likewise rise to the occasion when they face elite fighters. It would be like someone saying Holyfield could never have beaten Tyson because of how poor he looked immediately before against D-level heavyweight Bobby Czyz.

Biggs was a decent....( I stress the word DECENT) fighter. I think he never lived up to his potential he won a gold medal and did some good in the division.

I would have loved to have seen Bowe: Tyson, Briggs, or even Lewis.

Bowe had HUGE heart and he'd show it even if he was outmatched vs Lewis.

Agreed just only bad weakness i see with Bowe is that he can't handle getting hit with jab at will.

This thread just appeared at the bottom whilst I was replying to another thread about Bowe & it intrigued me.

I believe that Bowe had the tools to beat Lewis in 1993 when the fight could & should have happened.

Bowe was in his prime, but Lewis hadn't reached his yet.

In 1993, Lewis was still reckless & over-reliant on his huge Right hand.

Lewis from 1995 onwards would have beaten any version of Bowe.

Bowe was good, but was easy to hit & I do believe that although Riddick is a man of great courage, he was obviously not enamoured at the prospect of facing Lewis & that would have cost him big style.

Agreed at that time Bowe was at his best and Lewis was at his worst but maybe Lewis had Bowe's number no matter how bad he was because he beat him in the Olympics.
