With floyd's money spending habit it may be a possibility that he may share the same future as tyson. Floyd just like tyson has a lot of hanger-oners basically phonies who are just there to get a piece of his money. I remember watching the first episode of 24/7 and he had some guy who waits for him to drive him home from the gym, some guy to carry his jewelry, and some guy to get him his running shoes (that was the funniest). I recall from one of the press conferences floyd was elaborating how oscar was cheap and said that oscar tipped some hotel staff and asked the three men to split the $100 while he tipped each of them $100 a piece. also on the third episode they showed floyd gambling on sports & apparantly he had like 30k on one game. Floyd is rich but not enough for him to be wreckless with his money, I mean tyson had 300 million and he went bankrupt, I personally don't think floyd's net worth is more than 40 million which is including the payday from this fight. The following is a quote of bob arum from one of his interviews.

"Of course, I would like to be promoting it. It's a big event and will do very well. But I'm proud I was the one who built this fight," Arum said. They're both totally self-centered people. They only care about what money can buy them, though I can't say Mayweather cares about money, because of the way he spends it."

You could be right but i doubt it, 30k bets in relation to his 40 million fortune is absolutly nothing and he probably makes that back in one day through intrest, i think Floyd has a strong head on his shoulders and i very much doubt he goes the same way as Tyson, if he has 40 million he can do these things he is doing, Tysons problems were he let other people control his money, he didnt loose money by paying hangers on salaries, thats the difference.

maybe itz just me but floyd doesn't look like the business savvy type and he never was the sharpest tool in chest. i mean he hired a manager who came from the music industry & who had no experience managing boxers and also paid him exhorbant amount of money who at the end basically extorted him. who is to say that the people near him won't do the same thing to him in the future. from what I have seen on 24/7 it seems he completely trusts leonard ellerbe. also he has no other income apart from boxing and his philthy rich records is yet to produce an album this year.
