Freddy Roach interview....Oscar weighs 151 pounds??Rhyme for Floyd Senior.

I need on of you guys to tell me whether that is the right weight? I would have thought Oscar would weight more than that?? Part of a game plan? And what do you think of Roach saying they have different game plans? Man I like Freddy,read the rhyme he has for Floyd Senior. ;D ;D ;D

Might be a bit of bluffing on Roach's part.


As for the game plans ,the way Oscar will fight will depend on how the fight is going and on how Mayweather is fighting.

I got a feeling that DLH will start out agressive but steady but after 3 or 4 rounds if he is not catching FM,Roach will give the word for DLH to lunch an all out assualt on Maywether.

can't imagine that...161 is definitely more believable....unless he trying to say ODLH is in super shape and ready to go the full 12 rounds without question....

ODLH last weighed in at 158 as the WBC or whichever belt they are fighting for is following up on his weight.

8) Id like to see Oscar walk in at 153lbs to154lbs just to stay with the kid and see if he can take him wwhere he wants him. Will see if Floyd can really take a punch or if he gets booked like in theOJs!

That is why Freddie is so wanted as a trainer. He is such a nice person and honest. And being a former fighter he knows the game and knows what it takes. I am not saying he is better than anyone else, but he has an honest approach. Emanual Steward would have been a good pick for Oscar also since he finds good strategies. And Emanual is better now then when he was with Hearns years ago. He has learned more and gotten better.

I think that Roach is full of shat, personally.

Not about the weight...but the game plans.

His banter kinda reminds me of that "Manilla Punch" shit that he used to hand Manny his ass against Morales in their first fight. ;D

I hate to disagree....but I disagree this one time my man. Roach isn't stupid,he knows that if they go in with the one game plan and it does not work,they are screwed so he needs to be multi dimensional and adapt to the situation which I think he will try to,obviously it's up to Oscar to implement it.

And dam right,the Manilla punch was nowhere to be seen in the first fight ;D ;D ;D































But the bastard brought it out in the second and third fights(the right hand!) :-\

Roach is a great guy, one of the best in the sport. And i think its good that he hasnt revealed much about Oscars gameplan and training. He knows how much this fight means to Oscar and himself and im sure theyve really come toghether for this one.

It's too bad that Roach is ill or they could've have him VS Floyd Sr. on the undercard ;D

as far as i can remember roach said he is working with manny a right hook called "manila ice" after the first fight since manny was left handed happy during the first fight..

that is not Oscar's weight. Oscar is not 151.. I think Oscar will weight either 154 or at the least 153 for this fight.
